From «The ABC of Harmony” to the Peace Science Primer

         I contributed to two collective monographs prepared by the Gandhian Global Harmony Association (GGHA) as an author ("ABC of Harmony", 2012 and "Global Peace Science", 2015) and three as an editor ("The ABC of Harmony," "Global Peace Science," and "Gandhica", 2019). This was a very interesting experience, introducing me to the ideas of intellectuals from different countries and continents striving for friendship and cooperation in the name of peace. Since I work at the Roerich Family Museum-Institute and am a researcher of the works of various members of the great Roerich family, my articles were devoted to their thoughts on peace. More precisely, their thoughts on the paths to achieving peace (spiritual growth through Culture and Harmony) and on the higher, divine nature of peace in the works of Helena and Nicholas Roerich.

         The synergistic core of Gandhian "Perpetual Peace Science," created at the GGHA over 20 years, integrated the fundamental ideas of Nicholas and Helena Roerich: the divine nature of humanity's true, perpetual peace and its equally eternal culture of peace, expressed by Nicholas Roerich in his "Banner of Peace," which affirmed its eternity within its four rings. Therefore, it can be rightfully asserted that both the peace science spheral thinking and the eternal peace culture in our Primer draw their fundamental sources from the Orthodox ideas of the Roerichs, along with the fundamental ideas of Immanuel Kant's " perpetual peace," M. Gandhi's "varnas/spherons of non-violence" of humanity, and A. Einstein's "substantially new thinking" in their organic, holistic unity. At the same time, it must be emphasized that the Roerichs' ideas of perpetual peace and its peace culture found fundamental, scientific and theoretical development in the GGHA spheronics, in the "Peace Science", in their strict logical structuring in accordance with the objective spheres of humanity's social nature.

          But in this essay, I would like to talk more about the unforgettable collaboration with the wonderful people I met in this unique project, which arose thanks to the energy and goodwill of Lev Mikhailovich Semashko, and was ardently supported by people who desire a better future for the planet.

         First, I would like to remember Erika Lazarova (https://www.peacefromharmony.org/?cat=en_c&key=488), a Bulgarian philosopher, professor, and a wonderful woman of Great Spirit, who personally knew Svyatoslav Roerich. She invited me to Sofia in 2013 for a conference she organized on his documents, where I presented a paper on the diaries of Helena Roerich and became acquainted with Bulgarian culture and its representatives. I also met with the Bulgarian Roerich scholar Todor Yaylamov (also now deceased), with whom we organized a creative evening for the local intelligentsia dedicated to Nicholas Roerich and the St. Petersburg State Roerich Family Museum-Institute. Needless to say, all this is important for strengthening bridges between peoples.

         I also had a wonderful collaboration with the Iranian artist Lida Sherafatmand (https://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=en_c&key=514). Leo Semashko proposed organizing an exhibition of her works at the Museum, where I work. It worked out, the exhibition was a great success. Lida herself, who experienced the horrors of the Iran-Iraq War as a child, spoke at our seminar about her journey as an artist-peacemaker, searching for a universal artistic language that can touch the hearts of people around the world. For her, this language became floriescism—the expression of a palette of feelings through images formed with floral images. Lida was deeply fascinated by the ideas of the Roerich Pact, which she promoted in her exhibitions and lectures in various countries. We remain friends to this day.

         Another fruitful aspect of my involvement in the GGHA members correspondence was my participation in the creation of an exhibition dedicated to outstanding women, organized in 2017 in Astana by Raisa Kazieva, assistant to Academician Uraz Baimuratov (https://peacefromharmony.org/?cat=ru_c&key=561), Kazakh coauthor of "Global Peace Science." Raisa contacted me for materials for a display dedicated to Helena Roerich. After the exhibition, she donated one of the exhibits to our museum—a hand-painted plate depicting a portrait of Helena Roerich. This item has been added to the collection of the Roerich Family Museum-Institute, serving as a fond memory of a noble social initiative and radiant aspirations.

         The exchange of thoughts and warmth, the broadening of horizons, and a sense of unity with people of good will across a world divided by borders, propaganda, lies, and mistrust—this, I believe, is the GGHA main humanistic result of 20 years of work, which is entirely voluntary and unaffiliated with any political, governmental, or other structures. It has been supported and developed throughout this time by the participants themselves—people with a strong sense of duty, responsibility, and a strong social spirit, who share common values. This is a magnificent example of civic initiative, which serves as the key to creating a more developed, prosperous, peaceful, and cultured society. Pax Cultura!

Vera Popovich.

Inspired by the Gandhian Spherons of the Perpetual Peace Science

            I became acquainted with the work of the GGHA in 2012. The first book I read and participated in was "The ABCs of Harmony." I was impressed by the scope of questions and answers covered in the GGHA's work. But the ultimate, main focus, which particularly delighted me, was peacemaking, inspired by the Orthodoxy perpetual peace and other faiths in Russia in its conciliarity. Over the past years, I have participated in the creation of GGHA books, with Leo Semashko serving as the main organizer, inspirer, author, and editor of all of these works.

         The second book, "Global Peace Science," was very complex and labor-intensive; it required a great deal of effort and a wealth of information in the fields of philosophy and sociology. These were sleepless nights and endless days of difficult, long-term, and persistent work. The book was eventually published and took its place of honor in the minds and hearts of many peacemakers.

         Next came "Gandhica," dedicated to the 150th anniversary of M. Gandhi. For it, I conducted a special statistical study of the spherons of a closed government regulatory institution with a small workforce of 77 people. Verifying the spherons end-to-end social structure at one of its local levels and among myriad similar objects finally convinced me in the truth of the spherons scientific theory and the GGHA Perpetual Peace Science as a whole. It not only convinced me of their impeccable truth, but also inspired me with the discovery of a universal, all-encompassing force that, by its nonviolent nature, precludes wars between each other, although they are possible between different class, national, and political factions due to their complete ignorance in the Peace Science.

         I have found a solid scientific foundation in my worldview that guarantees eternal, lasting peace on earth, free from violence and bloodshed, lasting, albeit locally, for millennia. For this solid peacemaking foundation in my thinking and worldview, I am deeply grateful to the GGHA. only they, not school or university, enlightened me with this fundamental humanistic knowledge and true peace hope.

         Another GGHA book I contributed to is the "Anti-Nuclear Manifesto," 2020. The next important GGHA project I participated in is the "Anti-NATO Manifesto," 2024. Finally, the "Peace Science Primer" (PSP), 2025. I participated in the latter, inspired and enchanted by the peacemaking invincibility of the Gandhian spherons, who for the first time received a fundamental scientific justification in the Perpetual Peace Science. The main credit for the success and persistent promotion of its ideas, despite the powerful resistance they faced from the militaristic tradition, goes to Leo Semashko, the GGHA founder.

         I am confident that our PSP will undoubtedly receive special attention as a unique scientific model for building a prosperous, sustainable society of the future based on the equality and harmony of spheres and spherons, without wars and violence. The conscious spherons, armed with their Peace Science, will forever free humanity from the threat of war, primarily nuclear war, and ensure a planetary, intelligent and perpetual peace.

Takis D. Ioannides.

My contribution to peace primer

         I don’t belong to West, I don’t belong to East. I was born and live in a land between West and East, which produced a famous civilization and the sciences offered free globally. Among them the real Democracy, unknown nowadays and used by many countries as a label to cover their atrocities. Among the ideas of PEACE, of HARMONY of JUSTICE, we all represent in GGHA.

As a Greek, student of the Greek culture and life and Orthodox Christian, I feel responsible for the luck of peace and harmony on our planet. GGHA, mostly, and others Institutes and Associations gave me the chance to work for these ideas, and with all of you the global peacemakers.

         My contribution via life is consisted by many actions. Speeches, lectures, newspapers articles and essays, poetry via radio and TV stations, books, voluntary actions,information of children, students andpeople in literature institutes and associations, educational centers and universities. This, because the ideas of peace, harmony and justice especially, must be built in the minds and souls of humans. Εvery one knowsthe ideas, but few understand them, as Plato said. I understood that, without real Democracy, Peace, harmony and justice cannot live and survive.

         I felt great disappointment when I sent our book “GPS” (Global Peace Science, 2016) to president of the USA, to the Secretary General of the UN, to the president of UNESCO, to the President of Greece, to the president of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and to the Director of the Olympic truce, on year 2015. No one of them replied! I worked for 8 years with the rector of the University of Athens to create a school of peace in the university. Our government was not funding it! All books of GGHA are in the University of Athens, in Estia New Smyrna in Athens, in the Municipality of Ancient Olympia etc. Out GPS book is in the library of Ancient Olympia, available for all visitors.

         I felt great disappointment in the year 2024 when I asked by the International Olympic Committee to activate its Olympic Truce Department, to stop all wars, before, during and after the Olympic Games, to provide humanitarian aid to civilians , mainly to children, to provide medicine and food, to save human lives. The International Olympic Committee did not activate it. I asked for international support. No one responded.

         I used and use the great tool of Internet (Internet was an idea of Plato) to spread out all projects an manifestsof GGHA. I wrote in many books abroad about the peace, the democracy.

         As long as I live, I shall not stop to work for the realization of Peace, harmony and Justice.

With respect and love

FOR A HARMONIOUS LIVING

Caught betwixt the universal turmoil, peace gets boiled

If we endorse the Gandhian Varnas, turmoil’s get foiled;

The varnas ensure a harmonious living with top dignity,

But even erase the hidden instinct of one’s superiority.

In a militaristic era, non-violence has lost its credibility

Thrust for nuclear civilization, became a tool for enmity;

How can the wars end before they end the human race?

Only the eternal Newtonian law of society can bring peace.

Gandhian law of Spherons is the Science of Eternal Peace

With a broader thinking, any individual can easily trace;

For perpetual peace and an end to all wars and hostilities,

Our "Peace Science Primer" (PSP) unfolds all the realities.

Let us try to change the paths of the war-centric transition

To a new multipolar era of peace and stately civilization;

The Gandhian Varnas can make this a peace-filled sphere,

Putting an end to the egoistic and supremacy-centric wars.

THE GANDHIAN MEGASCIENCE

The world is going through a phase of death and ruin

Without an iota of mercy, deadly bombs and bullets rain,

Innocent civilians, women, the aged and small children,

Unmindful and unmerciful, such a brutality daily dawn.

Though aware, that the label does not remain forever,

To clinch the title of “The Universal Super Power”;

Nations vie to arm themselves with nuclear weaponry,

How can then one expect world peace and harmony?

Ignorant of the great peace science and its broadcast

Suicidal wars with provocation of hydrogen holocaust;

Often threaten the Planet Earth; will it really crumble!

Ill-fated, will the virtue of Gandhian Varnas stumble?

Ideology of true peace is elusive, but we have a chance

Let us study and understand the Gandhian Megascience,

Realize! "Peace cannot be achieved through war/violence”,

It can only be attained through understanding/science."
